Deadline:
Eric Bana has signed on to Craig Gillespie’s disaster-at-sea feature The Finest Hours, which chronicles the massive rescue mission that’s launched when a pair of oil tankers split in two off the coast of Cape Cod in 1952. Bana joins Chris Pine and Casey Affleck, who were previously announced to star in Disney’s adaptation of the best-selling book by Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias. Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson adapted the script.
Bana will play Daniel Cluff, the deeply respected Coast Guard warrant officer and point supervisor to Bernie (Pine). Cluff orders Bernie to set out on the dangerous rescue mission despite his wife’s wishes.
Bana, who also is in negotiations to join Secret Scripture for director Jim Sheridan, is repped by WMA and Sloane Offer.

I really like him in just about anything.
I really like Eric Bana. I don't think he's often given enough credit by audiences, but he's been in some impressive projects.
