Honestly, this would be the best way to handle the Joker on this TV show. The best thign about the villain, is that his past is shrouded in mystery and he's had multiple backstories over the years with no one really knowing the truth. These kind of teases would set up the same feel without ever confirming (hopefully) which is the "real" backstory.
