EW: Hollywood actor Josh Brolin has hinted he was considered to take on the role of Batman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel but it was revealed last August that Ben Affleck would be taking over from Christian Bale.
The 46-year-old hunk, who stars in upcoming film Labor Day alongside Kate Winslet, confessed there were disagreements over the character hence why he decided to turn down the chance to play the caped crusader.

In my opinion Josh Brolin is a better choice for Batman then Affleck and it saddens me how the guy making the film dosen't even get a say in who he wants.
They only got Ben Affleck because after Argo they knew they could draw in more of an audience and they would have something to market him with, like "...and OSCAR WINNING BEN AFFLECK (ARGO) AS BATMAN". With Josh Brolin they don't really have that and that's why in my opinion it wasn't Josh who turned it down but it was pretty much Warner Bros telling him and Zack they didn't want him.
So all this crap from Zack saying how good Ben Affleck is and how he's the "best man for the job" is bullshit in my opinion.
I could see him in the role.

Hit the nail right on the head there.
If they had chosen him I may have at least attempted to watch this poor excuse of a film adaption of one of the best comic story lines ever.
In its current state, never.
i know i'm probably in the minority in thinking Affleck could make a good Batman, but damn, i'd have loved to see Brolin in the role.
