Will Jesse Eisenberg Pull a Heath Ledger?

Warner Brothers has announced that The Social Network star, Jesse Eisenberg, will play the titular Superman Nemesis Lex Luthor.

The 30 year old star is still in his prime, but when the news hit on Friday fan boys and fans alike blew up the internet with rage. Most comments where about how he was too skinny, or not intimidating enough. But all you have to do is go back to 2007 when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker. At that time Ledger was portrayed as a playboy, who only took on romantic roles and was too good looking to play the most evil villain known to Batman.

No because Heath Ledger was a fantastic actor with a variety of performances before The Dark Knight.

Jesse Einsenberg can only play himself or slightly different versions of himself...where you like "I can see he's trying to play a different character....but it's still him"

Good or bad, I'm just really eager to see how this turns out. It could be a good laugh.

unlikely. but i remember before heath ledger took the joker he was a noteworthy nominee for an oscar for brokeback mountain just like jesse was in the social network, at this point of his career jesse eisenberg should and is taking steps forward to become a more versatile actor but i really doubt him for pulling of luther for only two reasons, his physique and for him having a baby face looks which makes him look soft, i cannot oversee his acting range because he shows some potential but he really looks more nerdish evil than "the" lex luthor.

Considering the internet's taste in movies, I am now cautious about Vivarium. Just browsing their "reviews" tells me they haven't watched a decent horror movie either.

The Art of Self-Defense Review: A Look at Forced Masculinity

"[Writer-director Riley] Stearns manages to capture quite accurately the almost cult-like mentality that exists in dojos, especially from the point-of-view of newcomers. Dudes grappling half-naked in the locker room before class? Sounds right. Comparing and taking way too much pride in the colours of the belts? Too real."
