TCA 2014: Abrams talks rampant “Star Wars” rumors, status report: “We’re in deep prep”

J.J. Abrams says the script for “Star Wars Episode VII” is complete, and confirms that he’s talked with “Breaking Bad” actor Jesse Plemons about a role.

“We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep,” Abrams told TheWrap. “Full steam ahead, y’know.”

While I DO think a new star wars is great, their insistence on going back to the original timeline has me worried that we'll never see the Old Republic movies I've always wanted... or even the future era with Skywalker's grandson.

I hope it went through a few rewrites before being final. This movie is going to be destroyed no matter what by fans, but you better give them as little ammo as possible lol

Agreed, so pretty much the opposite of what they did with Into Darkness :). It was a good movie, unless you happened to be a fan of anything Trek related.
