Vulture has learned that after finishing up next summer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, Singer will indeed be behind the camera on the new film, making this the director's first back-to-back foray into the X-Men world since he kicked off the franchise with X-Men (in 2000) and X2 (in 2003).

Well why would he pass up the most fun one? That would suck for him lol Lead up to this, get excited, then be told you are not even doing it.
This will be the biggest Xmen movie yet, of course he wants in on it, and its awesome!
if only he did not do superman returns then the x men franchise would have been completely better, with the avengers and justice league already being fueled, x men is a very very promising project if they just know how to make it work, with a very strong roster of heroes and villains it has even more potential than avengers in my point of view. fox just missed out big time with x men 3 and x men origins, they could have been as successful as the avengers at this time. x men days of the future past should be crucial next summer it would be a make or break since they have gambled the successful x men first class with the stupid story of x men 3 with an already dead cyclops, jean grey and a cured mystique and rogue etc. etc. lol
