Clickonline writes: "That’s partly down to the films incredibly well-balanced tone, seesawing from terribly violent acts to pitch black comedy and back without ever losing the audience. You’ll laugh and wince in equal measure as this dark tale unfolds but never lose sight of the inexorable creep towards a breathlessly tense finale."
Unlike revenge thrillers like The Tortured, this film depicts vengeance as a way to speak out against it.

Every now and then a small little genre movie comes along that demands attention simply so that it doesn’t disappear. The famously mouthy Quentin Tarantino has been screaming accolades about Big Bad Wolves for so long that his name is now slathered over all of the posters. Sometimes Quentin’s taste can be questionable, but in the case of this acidic Israeli dark comedy/horror flick, QT is right on the money.

"Not only is this the best film [at the Busan International Film Festival], this is the best film of the year," Quentin Tarantino declared last fall, and just like that, the profile of Israeli thriller "Big Bad Wolves" got raised immediately. The best part is, the film deserves the praise. Our own Drew Taylor called the movie "bold, beautifully told, and surprisingly funny" in his review from the Tribeca Film Festival, and now we've got a lengthy clip from the movie so you get a sense of what impressed both Tarantino and our own staff.
