Just last week, the eloquent Oscar winner ignited comic-fan fervor by revealing that he is shooting a top-secret Marvel project with the Iron Man 3 crew. Since the announcement, some outlets have rumored that Kingsley will reprise his role as Trevor Slattery in a showdown with the Marvel super-villain Mandarin that will sate fans who were dissatisfied with Iron Man’s surprise twist. While promoting Ender’s Game, Gavin Hood’s anticipated adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci- fi young-adult novel, which opens in theaters on Friday, Kingsley allowed us to pry a few hints about the Marvel project from him earlier today.
