Scream 5 to End the Series, Scream TV Series Will Go in a New Direction

Movieweb

For those who haven't seen Scream 4, there will be spoilers throughout the rest of this article. Harvey Weinstein revealed at the Zurich International Film Festival that he wants his brother Bob Weinstein, who heads up The Weinstein Company's genre division, Dimension Films, to make Scream 5, which will end the Ghostface franchise. I actually really liked Scream 4. It was a tad predictable but I still thought it was pretty entertaining and fun.

I liked it too and you know why it was better then the previous 2? Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven. Plain and simple.

Awwwww man, really?

I at least wanted another trilogy out of it. At least get it up to Scream 6. I think it would be good if Scream 5 and 6 kind of link onto each other, like a final two parter.

Like others have said 4 was surprisingly good. Maybe one part was due to us not having a sequel to a loved franchise for a while. I think 5 is a random number not many films finish on an odd number unless they are doing poorly. I believe 4 did really well. Not too keen on a TV series though. That just seems like they are jumping on the TV bandwagon of its an easy source of money cough Avengers cough.
