Deadline:
Slipknot metal musician Shawn “Clown” Crahan is set to make his directing debut with Officer Downe, adapted from the graphic novel by comics vet Joe Casey (X-Men, Gødland) and Chris Burnham. Casey wrote the script based on the Man of Action/Image Comics-released one-shot, about an LA supercop routinely killed in the line of fire who’s resurrected and sent back out into the fray time after time. The project has producer Skip Williamson (Underworld, Crank) and director Mark Neveldine (Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance) onboard to produce alongside Casey and Man of Action, with Slipknot manager Cory Brennan exec producing. The team is eyeing franchise potential with Officer Downe, which has a sizable fanbase in Crahan’s Slipknot fame to propel online buzz.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Sounds like a good plan to me.
