The trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is finally here. Legolas is back, and Smaug appears to be as well-realized, intimidating, and incredibly awesome as one could hope for.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey probably wasn’t on the same level of awesomeness as Peter Jackson’s adaptation of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, but I must admit that I still enjoyed it very much. That’s why I am still excited to see the rest of his three-part vision of The Hobbit, the precursor to The Lord of the Rings.

An in depth look? Some speculation maybe? All the author really does is narrate and say "this looks cool" "this doesn't". People can do that themselves.
