Collider:
Earlier today, we reported that Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 began production in New York. Now, we have the full press release that reveals the first official synopsis and the principal cast. We knew that Paul Giamatti was in talks to join the production and can confirm that now, but his role has yet to be specified. Another new name that joins the sequel’s cast is Colm Feore (Thor), but his role is also unspecified (Norman Osborn?). Hit the jump to check out the synopsis and read the press release.
Hell Andrew Garfield looks more like a guy who would of picked on Peter Parker in high school rather then be Peter himself
It's like they found a good looking guy and slapped some thick glasses on him...
"Done....your now a geek"
Seriously they should of gone with an older Peter Parker.
I mean Toby wasn't the best actor ever and Spiderman 3 wasn't great but at least he looked the part
And now, Jamie Foxx......oh my.....the director made stupid mistakes with Spiderman 3, but the CASTING director for the Amazing Spiderman series must be high on something.
He tried to be funny but it failed and he looked silly most of the time.
As I've said they should of went with an older Peter Parker, someone who has done everything and is become tired of Spiderman...he's married MJ, he's battled the Green Goblin, Rhino, Kingpin etc untill he comes up against Venom....
Start with Venom in Spiderman at the end it gives birth to Carnage
Then have a returning villain in Spiderman 2 - Green Goblin
Then have Carnage in Spiderman 3
They should just stop wasting movie time with this origins bullcrap. We all know Spideys origins just as well as we know Batmans.
I know but the thing is he's tries to be funny and cocky but it just dosen't work, he does a terrible job at it
I hate the Origins crap awswell, I just want them to move on but that won't be for a while since they are going to do a trilogy out of this.
Tobey was perfect as Spiderman they should have made this Spiderman a more experienced version rather than a newby. I guess we won't see anything like that anytime soon. :(
