Dwayne Johnson Set For ‘Hercules’; Brett Ratner To Direct

Dwayne Johnson really will play the classic strongman Hercules onscreen. The Brett Ratner-directed Hercules action film will be co-produced by Paramount and MGM, the companies announced today. Johnson and Ratner’s names have been attached to the project since early spring. The screenplay was adapted by Ryan Condal from Radical Studios’ graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars; Evan Spiliotopoulos did script revisions. Beau Flynn, Barry Levine and Ratner will produce. Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey and Jesse Berger will executive produce. Production is scheduled to start in early 2013. Condal is repped by WME. Ratner is repped by CAA. Johnson is repped by WME and The Garcia Companies.

Johnson is a perfect specimen. I see the guy on his facebook page and man he is diesel as hell can be any freaking body he wants looking like that.

i like dwane, he has charasma and stage presence however i dont know if the planned movie will be a critical success. clash of the titans and wrath of the titans did not get good reviews from the critics and audience alike and dwayne johnson's early projects were mummy and scorpion king wherein he is playing a character slightly the same as hercules in some perspective. the whole thing is predictable and imaginable.

I read some of Hercules: The Thracian Wars,and its great,dark violent,but Brett Ratner directing it ,destroys all my expectations for this movie
