Geek Binge: Leading up to its series premiere, The Walking Dead was hyped as one of the must see shows of the fall. It had great buzz from Comic-Con and the involvement of Frank Darabont signaled a potential new hit. The premiere episode was hailed as one of the best television pilots ever and as good as or even better than most zombie films. After the premiere, though, the series took dramatic drops in quality and began to suffer heavy criticism. Darabont was replaced as showrunner during the second season, which showed improvement but still suffered from a lot of the same problems as season one. But now two episodes in to season three, the show has shown a massive improvement. Has The Walking Dead finally decided to be good?
