Foreign Box Office: 'Madagascar 3' Repeats as No. 1 Overseas, Grossing $157 Million in Two Rounds

THR:
"Snow White and the Huntsman" surges to No. 2 followed by "Prometheus," while "Rock of Ages" and "That's My Boy" bow modestly.

Dropping a relatively modest 31% from its opening foreign launch, DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted claimed the No. 1 offshore box office spot for the second consecutive weekend with $53 million drawn from 10,957 locations in 43 markets.

That puts the overseas gross total accumulated by the second sequel in the animation franchise at $157 million. (Cinema, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted)

Sounds like it was time for a children's movie. School is out and kids are getting bored at home so taking them to see a good movie is a good option.
