This was a great movie for Disney, kind of hard to do a movie as good as PIXAR but this one I would say was as good..

It didn't do as well as a PIXAR film but it didn't do to bad, made about a hundred million profit.. So cost 165m to make and made about 277m in total so not bad..

And should do nicely on Blu-ray..

WTF?! It hasn't even come out in theatres in Europe yet.

i thought the days when you could buy the movie in the us before it came out in cinemas in the uk was over years ago, apparently not for bloody disney though.

then there's cloud atlas, why the hell are we waiting like six months for that one?

don't tell me it's the bbfc, they don't take six bloody months.

maybe its different country set of companies that handle the releases so to make some profit i dont think the US branch is going to wait around for europe to get its viewing and let it sit in theatres there then have to wait some extra months to equally distribute it on blu-ray when they can make some money now

hazelamy4141d ago

but disney who produced Wreck It Ralph and warner bros who produced Cloud Atlas both have uk distribution arms and according to their uk sites they're both distributing their respective films in the uk.
so why the need for months of delay?

they're just asking for the movies to be pirated.
you know why ET was the most pirated movie years ago?
because it took them four years to release a home video version.

not excusing it, but if you don't make the product available by any legal means, some people will explore other avenues.

i know there'l always be people that will pirate anyway, but then there are those who wouldn't if there was any legal option.

when the movie could be downloaded in minutes, they think it's a good idea to make people wait months.

i'm not condoning piracy, i'm just saying, they're not doing themselves any favours here.
