Warner Bros. Launch Oscar Campaign for The Dark Knight Rises And More

HeyUGuys:
Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy came to an incredible finish this summer with the release of The Dark Knight Rises. And with the Oscar season very much on the horizon, Warner Bros. have launched their campaign for the final instalment in Nolan’s trilogy, alongside Ben Affleck’s Argo, the Wachowski siblings’ and Tom Tykwer’s Cloud Atlas, Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike.

Nolan’s final instalment entered the $1bn. club this summer, and has personally been one of my favourite films of the year by a long shot, earning a place on my favourite films of all time.

There are always movies that I feel get over looked but the fans don't get a vote on this one.

Yeah, that's why I can hardly stand the Oscars anymore. It's too much about the ego's of the Academy voters instead of the films that actually deserve recognition.

calis4198d ago

Fan voting would just be who has the biggest fanboys wins.

Leio4198d ago (Edited 4198d ago )

Fan vote will never work since movies like

"Justine Bieber Never again" and "Twillight" will win every year .. easily.

There is already MTW-Movies awards to cover that shit

No system is perfect but i prefer Oscar as it is.

It looks to be a very tight year with films like Lincoln, Flight, Argo, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. I think the Hobbit may get pushed aside in winning too many categories just because The Lord Of The Rings had its spotlight at the Oscars. They may want to give it to smaller movies or just other ones in general. I doubt The Dark Knight will get wins in categories like Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Picture. I wouldn't mind seeing Cloud Atlas take a few Oscars or at least be nominated in a high number of categories to recognize its ambitious undertaking as an independent production.

Glad to see CLOUD ATLAS and MAGIC MIKE getting some love. I figured ARGO, BATMAN and HOBBIT would be sure-fire campaigns.
