yeah, because mark millar has good taste right?
i mean this is the guy that let frankie boyle bring the world the masterpiece that was rex royd... wait, what? o_O
yeah, i did steal that bit from linkara. ^_^
so are all the machines in that world alive?
does that carrier have a face and can it talk?
who builds the planes and cars?
are there little baby planes?
^_^
i hope that gets a theatrical release here in the uk.
i'd love to see it in 3d in the cinema.
there is no way a highlander reboot could be worse than the last movie, the source.
i'm a big highlander fan, i enjoyed all the highlander films up to that one, but that film was a horrible confused mess.
it was supposed to answer questions about the origins of the immortals, but it just left me confused.
a phenomenon i call lostian.
as in "that show was so lostian"
the world will be fine, even if it ends up a nuclear wasteland for millennia there will be life somewhere on earth.
eventually that life will spread, evolve, and a whole new species will become the dominant lifeform on earth, maybe they take better care of the planet than we did.
the earth survived at least one mass extinction, it'll survive if we managed to kill ourselves off too.
there was no way i was gonna miss this film anyway, but it's nice to see it's actually good.
ridley scott or alien = cool.
ridley scott AND alien = joygasm.
he is his brother, so i guess they went for a similar visual style for his power.
and i don't recall quicksilver being in the third x-men movie.
jamie madrox did have a purpose in the film though, too bad it was just the one scene.
but then there are far more important characters that were criminally underused in that film.
it's good that they're focusing on a few characters for this one, giving them time to develop them p...
#3 only in america.
the others i agree with though.
get a seat, disengage brain and watch shit blow up for a couple of hours, sounds like fun.
people, this is basically a two hour ad for a toy line, what are you expecting? shakespeare?
you don't go to a bay movie for a deep storyline, you go to see shit blow up, and plenty of people do just that.
if that's not for you, don't go see the film, there'll be plenty of people happy to go see it in your place.
the fac...
even if it's the very last shot of the series, he needs to be flying in the suit.
after ten years af clark building up to becoming superman, you can't deny the fans that.
maybe they did originally plan for no suit and no flying, but this is season 10, i doubt they planned for the show lasting that long, i doubt when they started they planned to have green arrow, the martian manhunter, doctor fate, hawkman and even doomsday in the series, but they have...
looks very interesting, not hard sci fi but the kind that deals with how some new discovery or invention affects what it means to be human, some of the best sci fi fall into that category.
can't wait to see this.
in an apparently infinite universe, everything should be possible.
as for that earth suddenly appearing in the vicinity of ours.
maybe it's from another dimension.
the best cgi is the stuff that doesn't look like it's cgi.
george lucas could stand to learn that i think. ^_^
nigel? o_O
anyway, it does look interesting.
i think david hyde pierce is one of those actors who is really underrated.
there is one scene i really want to see in the avengers movie, it was in the animated ultimate avengers movie, where the hulk tries to pick up thor's hammer.
it would be so cool to see them recreate that scene.
anyway, as a big comic book fangirl i'm loving what they're doing linking all the films together like this, i just hope they don't just forget the whole single world thing in the films that follow the avengers, because that would be such a shame...
i hope that means we'll actually get to see superman in a proper superpowered fight, with major property damage, getting knocked through buildings and all that good stuff.
not just seeing him getting beaten up by generic thugs because of the old kryptonite thing.
the last film was decent enough, but superman is still a comic book character, how can you make a superman film and not have him fight anybody for almost the whole bloody movie.
...
can somebody insert a phantom menace being a joke of a film joke here please? i can't think of one right now. ^_^
the first film had some funny moments, the main problem was how ineffectual the main character was.
i mean every time he succeeded at something it was by accident, there was no point in the movie where he showed that he was actually capable.
it made for a rather one note character.
that's where a film like get smart did much better, sure agent smart was still the clownish buffoon at times, but when it mattered he was able to get the job done.
you know what.
i don't care what anybody says, i've enjoyed all the scary movie films, i've had lots of laughs with all of them, and i've been hoping for a new one for years.
i'll be in line on opening day to see this.
and i think i'm going to have to dig out the first four movies on dvd and watch em again one day soon.
