McGregor would be great, he's a good actor, and star wars showed he can do the sword fighting stuff with the right training.
Ray Park is a great martial artist, but has he got what it takes for the lead role in a movie like this.
i'd like to see him given a proper chance to do some actual acting as well as the martial arts though.

how does a film get delayed nine months, just under a month before it's announced release date.
i can promise one thing, i won't be seeing this in 3d.
so this nine month delay isn't going to net them any extra profit from me.
i'm a big fan of 3d, when it's filmed that way, but i've developed a bit of a loathing thing for post converted films.
i don't think a, bodybuilder in green make up, hulk will cut it these days.

i guess it's a way of getting new people into the franchise, so they don't have to be concerned with knowing what happened in the previous films.
they do it in comics, dc did it with the new 52, marvel did it with the ultimate universe, though they did that in addition to the regular books, not as a replacement.

whether they're born the way they are or some radioactive goo turns them that way is a relatively minor detal compared with the meat of the story, which is being found by splinter and trained in the martial arts, and splinter's connection to shredder and the foot clan.

i think in the book, there was a society of vampires that were still intelligent, they'd found a way to control whatever it was that caused them to become like they were, not cure it, just control it so they could retain their personalities.
and i think they wanted to execute Neville because he was a threat to their society.
the alternate ending was closer to the book in that the vampires weren't just mindless savages
he's actually appeared in a couple of comic stories, fighting Vader.
