Yet another character marvel ripped off (Ant Man).

It's good to see Routh getting a second chance.

I see it more as paying homage, like when the aquatic dinosaur raises out of the water to eat the shark. Nice call back to Jaws.

Iron Man 3 is growing on me a little, it's definitely an improvement over part 2, but the series as a whole has been a bit underwhelming. Isn't RDJ petitioning for Mel Gibson to direct IM4?

I would pay $50 to see Jack Kirby's cold dead corpse return from the grave and drag Stan Lee to hell. Ghostrider 3 anyone?

It's one of the best new shows to come out this year. While it might take awhile to get going, when the show is firing on all cylinders it reminds me of watching vintage Simpsons.

'And I would say it’s about as big of a counterpart to Walking Dead as you could program, because Walking Dead is unrelentingly grim and hugely popular. We’re going to give people a little of the old fashioned splatstick—horror and comedy.'

My interest stays intact

It's pretty interesting but not at all what I expected. Marco Polo is a badass kungfu ninja? But yeah, im only about 3 eps in.

Can't wait for this, looks like it could very possibly be the best superhero tv show yet. Outside of John Goodman, I couldn't think of too many better actors to play the kingpin that Vincent Donofrio.

I like the way DC is keen on making concept films like BvS or Suicide Squad. Everyone always accuses them of copying Marvel but this approach is vastly different than Marvel turning everything into a franchise(it's worth noting that Marvel seems to be taking a page from the DC playbook with the recently announced Civil War movie). I think this strategy lends itself to creating a cohesive universe more than just making franchise films that only revolve around a handful of characters.

It's not necessarily the hackers they are afraid, but those rogue wackos that use opportunities like this to make a statement for themselves.

Ezra Miller?
Jason Momoa?
Margot Robbie?
Gal Gadot?

These are the safe choices you are referring to?

DC doesn't get enough credit. They announced the first superhero film to feature a non-white main character and the first female superhero.

They have dominated TV an animation.

They have an amazing lineup graphic novels that they also continue to adapt.

Past adaptations include: <...

I agree with Burton - the formula is getting a bit old. I hate the way all of these movies rely around a macguffin. It never feels like there is anything at stake.

It's not that overrated isn't a valid word, it's just that it's usually used in such a lazy way...the same can be said about 'pretentious'. For the most part it is a well written article, and while I do agree with him about DoFP and to an extent Guardians of the Galaxy, his critique of Guardians is a bit spotty. I do think that the movie diminishes a bit on repeat viewings.

My most overrated movie of the year: Winter Soldier. People like to praise this...

Good to see Roald Dhal getting some love. J.K. Rowlings wishes she had 1/2 of the skill he did.

It does raise an interesting question though - the Civil War does involve more mutants than just spiderman. Who does Disney own the rights to 'superhuman' wise?(they actually don't own the rights to the word mutant). I'm guessing they are going to use it as an opportunity to plug the Inhumans, but really the Fantastic Four are just as crucial to the storyline as Spidey.

It's funny because everybody was complaining that Superman Returns wasn't violent enough, and now they want the squeaky clean version. MoS may have been more blatant than most, but it's hardly the first movie to exploit violence with no regard to collateral damage.

SPOILER

Hell, in the new Hobbit movie one of the characters is providing comic relief while dead children are floating in a lake.

Yes, Lois Lane's character has been criminally wasted in the last two Superman films. Such a shame.

Yikes, that does look like a train wreck, but even when the Wachowski's are bad I still enjoy their films(Speed Racer)

Hopefully it's better than the Marvel Knights films.
