How did High Tension not make this list?
Great cast but what a mess of a story that wasn't even interesting... very average. 5/10
Not bad this year. Too bad they took off An American Werewolf in London and Scream 4. I ran through Scream 1-3 last week since I haven't seen them in forever only to notice that they got rid of 4.
More to add:
House of the Devil
I Spit on Your Grave
Scream 1 & 2
Carrie
Rosemary's Baby
I 2nd checking out American Mary. Cool little story and Katharine Isabelle is so damn hot.

Would've picked Blue Velvet as #1 personally but Blade Runner is very much deserving of a #1 spot.

I have friends who totally discredit Haute Tension just because of the ending. It didn't make any sense at all. Yeah, I agree Descent's US ending was pure bullshit and after I saw it in the theaters I immediately watched the original ending on youtube.
As for The Mist, the ending was really what made the film memorable for me as I wasn't a huge fan of slow burners back when I first saw it. I think I remember reading that King even prefers the film's ending to ...
