Oddly, hardly any reviewer has mentioned the real inspiration that QT got to make this film - Takashi Miike's Sukiyaki Western Django, which also guest starred non other than QT himself and I would say is a better film.

I too am one those who didn't enjoy Dark Knight or DKR. I felt it was too grounded in reality for my liking. I prefered the look, feel and story telling in Arkham City a lot more. It had the perfect blend of comic and realism to me.

I know I am in the minority when it comes to the Batman reboot, but I suppose we all have our different opinions and tastes.

GwDT made them a £100mill, which is not great, but considering it cost £90mill to make and had a small marketing budget next to the likes of MIB3 and Spidey it done pretty well.

I agree with TR though, although it made them a little profit (around $50mill), I am sure they were expecting TR to blow up in the charts considering the huge following the original had.

Yes, they need Spidey to continue and thank god the new Spidey isn't such a girly c...

Amazing Spider-Man just made Sony over $500million in profit and there is profit from DVDs, BR, PPV, SKY and Cable amongst other things. Why would Sony sell the rights to a potential Golden Goose?

Sony has been doing great in the cinema division. Girl with a Dragon Tattoo, Total Recall, Hotel Transylvania and Amazing Spider-Man all made Sony a good profit and Skyfall already has had a huge opening of $77million from a couple of days and not including the USA.

Not sure what the complaints are about. Watched Alice and Dark Shadows - enjoyed both!

What does need to happen is for journalists and reviewers to stop the bullcrapping. People watch Tim Burton films because they like his art style, story telling and dark story telling. He is one of the very few directors where you watch a film and without checking the label, you know exactly who has directed it.

If there is someone who needs his career saving, my 6th sense...

If this is supposed to be a serious list?!

Where is Grace Jones, Cynthia Rothrock, Maggi Cheung, Sigornia (however you spell it) Weaver, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie and Michelle Rodriguez?

In the FF5 there as a scene on the Feds computer or screen that hinted at her being alive and deep under cover. Then after the credits scene they showed further evidencthat she is alive and robbing!

Well people will still remember the 1st for being awesome, just like the original SW trilogy, or the 1st Ghostbusters, or the 1st 2 Terminators or Godfather 1&2 or Matrix 1.

Although wasnt as good as 1, it will leaps and bounds better than American Pie reunion and the other movies that came out in the genre like Bridesmaids. I rather have a Hangover 3 that many of the other alternatives that were just plain bad!

Dont know how you get whiney? Its like cslling someone whiney because they prefer coffee over tea.

The point u r missing is i was talking about my opinion n not forcing it on orhers, whilst u r calling me whiney for prefering my comic book heroes to be more like the comics as supposed to more like Jason Bourne.

Didnt you read everything I wrote? The joker in the comic and graphic novel world the Joker is more than a psychop...

Agreed. Realism is the 'in' thing. However, if you get the chance, watch the Batman cartoon called the "the red hood". The cartoon is very dark and gritty. It's grounded in reality but still maintaines its comic feel. The joker is amazingly voiced; sinister but filled with dark humor. If you enjoy the Batman films, the cartoon is a must watch!

I hated TDK thanks to the realism route it took and the shitty written character of Joker, who is mothing like any of the jokers in any comic or any graphic novel. Although played well, he wasnt played as the Joker, but as a psychopath. Anyine following the comics and novels will know this.

Ive read the comics and knowing what will happen in this film, I hope they aint cut back on the comic to make it more 'real'.

I would like to see QT make another original film.

I can't see this film being as good as the original. It was a weird yet wonderful film. A mish mash of a western, samurai and manga genres executed perfectly.

Takashi Miike is a genius.

Is this a remake or sequel to the great and badass Sukiyaki Western Django?

I think the DK got a lot of free press due to the death of Heath Ledger and this took the movie to a whole new height.

Spoke to a lot of friends after the hype had died and a lot of us felt hype had a big part to play. Joker was played well, but was nothing like the joker in terms of gags n pranks n jokes. He was just a psychopath in make up.

I dont think they will be able to pull the same amount of hype in for DKR. Saying that though, this dont mean it will...

I think I am the only to day this but I absolutely hated dark knight and it ruined Batman for me.

I couldnt get into how realistic it was and how it felt more like a 3hr bourne film as supposed to a 2hr comic film.

DKR seems to be the same whilst Batman Begins is a good balance of realism and comic.

I think the Avengers will do better for that very reason, it is more entertaining to watch and not a comic book story coated in a thick layer of ...
