Production delayed for a week, but not for a bad reason. Apparently one of the leads is moving from New York to Texas this weekend so the production team is allowing her the time to get moved.
It is one of the more common things that occurs with productions. Many times you hurry everywhere just to end up waiting.
But it's the name of the game and just one of the things you deal with as you get closer to the start of principal shooting.
I plan to use the delay wisely, getting my body tightened up a bit, get some sun, and ensure that I'm not just physically ready for this role, but also mentally.
Shooting a feature can be murder on your headspace. It's grueling, time-consuming, there are time requirements everywhere and they usually make no allowances for your personal life.
This is also one of those parts of being in the industry that you must accept. Ensuring that your tool (meaning your body) is in the condition to deal with the physical, emotional, and psychological rigors is incredibly important.
Cardio, yoga, pilates, maybe a little P90X and a touch of anabolic aerobics won't do you any harm as apart of your preparation. Also remember to take the time to relax, meditate, concentrate on your creativity and enjoy the time you have.

Walking every day constantly does wonders. I did it for a year, and I can't believe how much I managed to get accomplished in a day.
