Breaking Bad to Return on July 14

“Breaking Bad” is set to return this on AMC summer and star Aaron Paul confirmed via Twitter that new episodes will begin on July 14. The second half of the show's fifth season will return with eight additional episodes and will bring the series to a close.

Created and produced by Vince Gilligan, "Breaking Bad" stars Bryan Cranston as Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher in Albuquerque, New Mexico who, after learning that he's dying of lung cancer, begins to secretly cook crystal meth as a means of providing for his family.

I think it was stupid to divide the last season over two years. They should have just made two full-length seasons.

Personally, although I would rather they never split up the season at all, they definitely shouldn't have created an extra season for the sakes of a season because it will end up going the same route as LOST when sky brought it. Its a shame we have to wait, but if the 2nd half of the season ends the way this programme has been going then by all means take their sweet time.
