Justin Long has booked a recurring role as Zooey Deschanel’s love interest on Fox’s upcoming comedy New Girl.
Long, whose television credits include Ed and episodes of King of the Hill and That ’70s Show, will play Paul, Jess’ (Deschanel) music teacher.
The feature actor, who most recently provided the voice of Alvin in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, will recur for three episodes, first appearing in Episode 106. He begins shooting Sept. 19.

I really like him and think he's going be great on the show...maybe he'll end up staying more than just 3 episodes.
I like him as well. I think he plays that "geeky" somewhat comedic role well. Especially in something of a supporting/sidekick position....like in Live Free or Die Hard.
