Top 10 Movies to Watch on Valentine's Day

Among the mini golfing, moonlit cruising, tropical paradise getaway-planning slew of couples, there are the low-key couples who just want to spend an intimate evening together(a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine would help, too). Cue the perfect activity: the at-home movie. You get to choose how much you pay attention to the screen.

The story is too old to be commented.

I'm becoming a bigger Dicaprio fan than ever thanks to my GF's crush on him, but I will NOT sit through Titanic for any holiday lol. Unless Im looking to take a nice long nap.

Its a good list if your looking for romantic movies though, I know a few I may be watching are on there.

JL2081d ago

lol Exactly. Titanic bored the living hell out of me.

For romantic movies, I don't mind things like When Harry Met Sally or Sleepless in Seattle or stuff like that. Oh, Serendipity. That's one of the romance movies I enjoy more. That's probably partly because I have a huge crush on Kate Beckinsale lol

Cat2081d ago

Titanic is completely unromantic. That selfish B wouldn't share/take turns on that flotsam. That is *not* love.

Thats portraying the future when they get married, he doesnt wanna listen to her yap anymore so he chose the easy route.

:P (only kidding)

JL2081d ago

I always thought that too. I was why didn't that girl even offer to share or take turns? That's just cold and selfish. After she went without even offering, I would've just dumped her over and took the floating thing myself.

It definitely wasn't a movie that derserved the amount of money it made. But, I guess Cameron knows how to advertise his movies.

Where's the love for Eternal Sunshine? Perfect for Valentines day...since really it all happens around Valentines day. Fantastic romance movie.

Cat2081d ago

That is one of the best romance movies ever, though it actually makes me tear up which is *not* cool. I don't want to be crying on Valentine's Day!

Sunny_D2080d ago

It's okay Cat. Even Girls can cry too. )': lol

JL2081d ago

Ah yes. Eternal Sunshine. Indeed a great movie. And I think Jim Carrey's finest performance to date.

Cat2081d ago

Hmmm....I choose....Breakfast at Tiffany's!

JL2081d ago

Eternal Sunshine makes you tear up but Breakfast at Tiffany's doesn't? :P

My choice: Hmmm....Lady and the Tramp :D

Really......probably have to say Casablanca. Or how about City of Angels.

Of course, both of those will quite possibly make you cry. That's why I'll stick with lesser tearjerkers like When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, Serendipity or maybe Annie Hall or City Lights.

Cat2081d ago

Nah, no crying at Breakfast at Tiffany's, whoring is funny stuff! ;)

I'll throw in While You Were Sleeping, b/c while less "classic" I love that stupid movie. We all have our dark shame spirals.

JL2080d ago (Edited 2080d ago )

lol Whoring IS funny stuff. I thought maybe if Eternal Sunshine watered you up, then maybe "CAT!!!" would get you a bit choked up. I have a friend that chokes up every time she sees that.

And While You Were Sleeping? Really? That a VERY dark shame spiral lol That one is almost as bad as the Titanic thing.

A woman that takes advantage of a comatose man by weaseling herself into his family by pretending to be his fiancee. Then when he awakes she lets everyone go on thinking he has amnesia cause he doesn't remember her. All the while she's been fooling around with her "fiance's" brother while the man was comatose.

And in the ultimate "screw you" she waits till they're at the alter to say "Sorry, I can't do this. I've been screwing around with your brother. And I'm in love with him instead. Don't worry though, we weren't ever engaged anyways, I was just running a con on you and your family."

*sigh* So romantic lol
