Why? Why do people like bad movies? It dragged on, nothing interesting happens, the villain is limp and Alita looked awful. But no the reason it's being avoided is definitely the fan base, it has nothing to do with the movie turning out awful and its poor performance financially.

But leave it to the troglodyte newsboiler users to conspiracy theory their way to it being political. Let's link a story from the same site that posted this dribble, to correlate that because a certain other author wrote an article a billion dollar media company is skipping over Alita. 200m production cost, plus marketing and Alita made 400m back. That's sounds like a positive, but it doesn't bode well for future investment not when they were projecting far more. It performed under where it was projected and reviewed poorly, it's a bad movie.

Never change newsboiler community, keep demonstrating to the rest of the internet how knuckle dragging is done.

Loved this movie. So much fun. My 16 and 11 year old also loved it. Was amazing in IMAX 3D and we cannot wait for a sequel.
