Vigilante returned to Star city this week, and he set his sights on Mayor Oliver Queen.
We’re now reaching the point in the year where all the Arrow-verse shows start revealing their hands and dropping the big bombshells. Arrow certainly left viewers with plenty to chew on this week as it brought Vigilante back into play, trapped Oliver between a rock and a hard place and even addressed the biggest mystery of Season 5 - the identity of Prometheus. Needless to say, it all made for some darned good superhero viewing.
Ollie faced the imminent collapse of his political career this week now that the press has gotten wind of his attempts to cover up the nature of Detective Malone’s death. It’s always fun when Ollie is confronted with a foe he can’t defeat by simply suiting up and shooting it full of arrows. In this case, that wasn’t an option regardless, as Ollie found himself physically incapacitated for more of the episode. Thus, the burden fell on the rest of Team Arrow to deal with the threat of Vigilante and make Star City safe again.
