WOW247: Today marks the tenth anniversary of the release of V for Vendetta.
A genuinely great movie with an important message, compelling plot-line and exhilarating fight scenes, many also believe it has made some spooky premonitions about the current socio-political climate.
But never mind all the high-brow intellectual guff. V for Vendetta is already just like real life for the residents of Great Britain. Just maybe not in the ways that you thought it was.
Amazon has opened pre-orders for the V for Vendetta 4K Ultra HD Exclusive Giftset.
A French artist by the name of Nekoto has painted a line of actor portraits in a simple yet engaging manner to detail the various roles they’ve played over the years. Each print features the actor styled in his costumes from the geekier movies they’ve acted in, and while they’re very minimalistic, it’s quite clear which characters Nekoto chose for each actor.
From Cinelinx:
When it was first released, critics decided that V for Vendetta was a good movie, but it wasn’t considered great. Since then, it has gained in popularity, become a symbol for protestors, infiltrated English classes, and influenced people everywhere. It certainly influenced me, and it stands tall as one of my all-time favorites. It’s a movie I find myself going back to again and again, and it provokes excellent discussions whenever I present it to the high school film classes I teach.
This is a great break down! By far it's among my top films of all times, simply for the ideas it presents. I'm moved by it every time I see it, and can say it definitely has influenced my life in various ways.
