Is it safe to come out yet? It’s been a while since Fantastic Four landed in cinemas with a wet slap and clobbered all of our hopes and dreams for the franchise but is it safe to mention Marvel’s first family in a cinematic context again yet or are we still in the midst of the fallout?
It could have been so beautiful: an FF film from the mind who brought us the twisted superpower parable Chronicle and the producer behind the X-Men’s latest successes. It already sounded amazing but Fox managed to bring together a cast of bona fide rising stars, with loads of seriously impressive projects between them, to wash away the saccharine taste of the campy two-film series that started in 2005.

I just want them to make one F4 movie that doesn't absolutely blow.
I'd be really interested in seeing Marvel do a movie with Doctor Doom crossing on over into the MCU – or even better, seeing Fox adapt him into an Old Man Logan story arc like the comics. They have the rights, after all. Just start over fresh and give us the terrifying strategist Doctor Doom we've always wanted.
