On Nov. 21, 2007, a supernatural horror film premiered that involved a bunch of people trapped in a supermarket while an ominous mist blocked their escape. Based on the 1984 novella by Stephen King, “The Mist” raked in over $25 million domestically, and over $57 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. Clearly, it was a success.
However, anytime you mention the film to people who’ve seen it, odds are they will instantly exclaim, “Ugh, that ending!” If you haven’t seen the movie, stop what you’re doing and watch it right now, because major spoilers are about to happen.

And it’s over. Done. Complete and probably never to be renewed again. However, if there's ever a TV series that wants - no, NEEDS - a season 2, it's The Mist, simply because story-wise it isn’t actually over. Not even close. Ending with more questions than it answers, the finale throws a tantalising and finally original idea into the foggy mix that desperately needs to be continued.

In The Mist, episode 9, “The Waking Dream,” shadowy sleeper cell soldiers move under the city or house to house. No, it isn’t the fearsome creatures in the foggy depths. The biggest threats continue to seep in from much closer to home. The series continues to take what clues Stephen King’s book left and run with them, but at their current level of athleticism, they’re in danger of running off course.
For me it's mostly because the books ending was superior
It can't of been that good because I can't even remember the ending, so I must be over it.
Yeah I remember being in the theaters and hearing people boo lol
It just wasn't realistic. As a father there is no way I would have done what he did, regardless of how hopeless their situation appeared.
Also, they made it that far why stop and give up now? It just made no sense and was only presented for shock value.
