The A.V. Club
A lot of conversation surrounding the second season of Gotham, both among critical outlets and in this very comments section, has focused on how to engage with the show. It’s a pretty standard starting place for just about any television show. Part of the appeal of TV criticism, and a large part of just chatting about TV shows with friends, family, and internet strangers, is navigating what a show is trying to do, whether it does that thing well, and whether that particular thing appeals to us. It’s fun, and completely necessary, to interrogate our own tastes and expectations and do what we can to engage with TV shows on their own terms while also remaining critical and observant.
City Hunter Review: The manga adaptation unravels the tragic beginning of Ryo Saeba and Kaori Makimura's partnership.
Deliver Me Review: The Swedish series follows two troubled teen and their troublesome lives when one of them is shot dead.
Fight For Paradise Review: This reality show is nothing new but there are so many uncomfortable moments that will definitely give you the ick.
Well, a cool flamethrower never hurt a show, I guess. But the high heels? Who wears that in a fire zone?
