A new extended trailer for the made-for-TV movie strongly suggests that, yes, Ferrell and Wiig are playing their roles exceedingly straight and, yes, this is a dyed-in-the-wool Lifetime movie.
Ferrell and Wiig play the Bensons, a happily married couple who decide to shelter a young expecting mother (Jessica Lowndes) whose baby they have arranged to adopt. Things take a dark turn however when the young woman is revealed to have plans of her own.
