iZombie is a unique beast. It's a show where wit, gooey brains, and charm exist in pleasant harmony. It's about a tough survivor who uses her undead existence to live again (Liv Moore, even) and to help others. And a large part of the series focuses on death. There are the zombies, obviously, but also the cases each week and other corpses on the slabs at the morgue. The audience is basically surrounded by death while still remaining distant from it and separate from the emotional consequences. We haven't known any of the victims personally -- until tonight.
