TV Equals: "“Backstrom” is the latest from actor Rainn Wilson, best known as Dwight, from the American version of “The Office.” In this show, based on the series of popular novels by Swedish author Leif G.W. Persson, Wilson plays the titular character, a misanthropic-but-brilliant detective that’s equal parts “House” and Mel Gibson circa “Lethal Weapon” (but with elements of his off-screen, even crazier real-life persona), only more out-of-shape and slovenly. Actually, when one character says he only hates people because he hates himself, Backstrom claims he doesn’t hate people, he just sees them for what they really are, and acts accordingly."
Ashley Madison-Sex Lies and Scandal Review: The documentary refuses to take a stand on whether or not it wants us to feel bad for cheaters, infuriating viewers with its wishy washy attitude.
Outer Range Season 2 Review: This season is as insane and slow as the last part and doesn't attempt to answer any questions, while adding on to those of the last one.
Monster Review: While this film delivers elements of horror and thriller, they're only sporadically effective, leaving the overall experience falling short of expectations.
