Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons to Star on Fargo Season 2

TVF:
Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are headed to FX.

The young stars have both booked key roles on Fargo Season 2.

Via a network press release, Emmy Award winner Noah Hawley will return as showrunner for the second season of this critically-acclaimed drama, which will take place in 1979.

It will be set in Sioux Falls and Luverne, Minnesota and it will tell the tell of State Police Officer Lou Solverson, who is yet to be cast and who recently returned from Vietnam.

Dunst, however, will portray Peggy Blomquist, a small town beautician with big city dreams who is trying to figure out her future and her identity.

She shares her house with her husband Ed (Plemons), a butcher's assistant, who wants to be supportive of his wife’s self-discovery... even if he doesn’t fully understand it.

Other major open roles include Solverson’s wife, Betsy, their 4-year-old daughter, Molly, and fellow officer, Ben Schmidt.

I think the second season is going to have a better cast.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are no where as good as Billy Bob Thorton and Martin Freeman

RetrospectRealm3425d ago

What does that have to do with anything? They are playing different characters than Thornton and Freeman.

And Billy Bob Thornton is going to be on it the second season again anyway.
