The year of the remake continues.
Fox is developing a half-hour comedy based on the Will Smith feature film Hitch, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The network has handed out a script commitment to the comedy.
Inspired by the 2005 movie about a professional date doctor, Smith's Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television will exec produce. The single-camera comedy is being written by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont (Made of Honor). Smith, JadaPinkett Smith and Overbrook's James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett will exec produce the new Hitch, which is described as a workplace comedy that explores dating and sexual politics.

This show won't last. I'm sure they may have a few decent ideas to make it through the first season, but I see this getting old fast.
