"Again, chalk Horns up as one of Film Class Junkies’ most disappointing films of 2014: while it is far from the worst, with the talent, the material and the director I was simply expecting so much more... Perhaps I was just anticipating a darker movie than what was presented, but simply the weird premise was deserving of a much better surrounding story—almost as if the story limited the premise on the lengths it could go."
Mother of the Bride Review: The rom-com follows soon-to-be wedded couple, RJ & Emma and the chaos that ensues when their former lover parents come across.
When a messiah is needed, does it matter how a planet gets one? That's what we'll discuss in our Dune Part Two Review!
On the big screen, numerous Dark Knights flaunted their abs and flexed their muscles for the audience; however, Christian Bale's Batman physique remains the greatest.
Good review. Your insight was though provoking for me as a reader of the book(which I loved) and someone who felt that the movie was pretty awesome. Academy award winning? No. Well done? Yes
When you read a Joe Hill novel, it's VERY easy to forget who you're reading because it feels so much like his very famous father. If you aren't sure who that is, look at a picture of Joe Hill - he's a spitting image of his old man. It's almost uncanny really.
I actually felt that the movie perfectly captured the feel and tone of the book every step of the way. I actually wondered how he was going to include the flashback moments but he pulled it off. I didn't at all feel like it was disjointed as I had thought it might.
Maybe if you read it you'll have a different view? I strongly recommend anything by Hill. You'll thank me later.
Again, knowing nothing walking in, I was expecting more of a depraved ride. But I certainly have been thinking about going to the Joe Hill novel, which certainly has staunch backers.
