Teen wolf has had a good season for me so far in the way it’s looked at things both smaller and bigger. The smaller side is with the cast overall since we’ve had a few losses, some characters have gone away for awhile and it’s narrowed down after getting as big as it did. The growth side is that we’ve gotten a bigger look at the world and the different things that are out there, which is a big positive since once you start introducing things like werewolves, it’s pretty much open to go further with some creative stuff. And they’ve done that, mostly carefully, as the overall mythology of the series has been explored. There are areas where it needs to work on things, which this episode starts to do with Lydia, as you can go only so long without really delving into the meaning of it all. Especially with a personality like Lydia.
