TVF:
Past will meet present on The Flash.
The CW has confirmed that John Wesley Shipp - who portrayed Barry Allen/The Flash in the early 1990s series - has been cast in a recurring capacity on this network's version of that speedy superhero.
He will portray Barry's father, Henry Allen.
"Given his history with The Flash, Andrew, Geoff and I could only think of one person we wanted to play Barry's father and that was John Wesley Shipp," producer Greg Berlanti said via statement, adding: ]
"He gives a fantastic and emotional performance in the pilot and we are looking forward to his presence in many more episodes. Also, personally, it was just wonderful to work with him again since my days at Dawson's Creek. He's a great actor and a great guy."
Grant Gustin, of course, is on board as The Flash for this wildly anticipated new drama, which will air on Tuesday nights prior to Supernatural Season 10 this fall.

Don’t let the cringey awkwardness of The Office fool you: Michael Scott would actually be the perfect boss.
I'm still not sold on this one but I will give it a chance and before trashing it I will watch it for the first few weeks to see where they take their characters and see how good the writing is and then I'll decide whether to watch or not.
