"No" To The Nolanverse; Why Superman/Batman Should Herald A New Beginning

CBM

Christopher Nolan's Batman universe is extremely divisive, but regardless of whether or not you liked his take on the Caped Crusader's world, here's why I think Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman/Superman movie needs to forge its own path with a NEW take on the iconic DC superhero and his supporting cast. (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Culture)

Divisive? Since when? The official reboot announcement two weeks ago? Sigh, fan communities turn on their old toys eventually, no matter how shiny.

We all like getting new toys don't we?

The point is a trilogy with almost $2.5 billion of box office, several Academy Awards including one for acting (a first and only for superhero films), and near universal critical consensus as being considered "art" from Steven Spielberg to Werner Herzog and Paul Thomas Anderson, is not "divisive." Just because some fanboys on a forum thread whined that Robin's name is John Blake or that Batman retires does not a controversy make.

^^^this, all of this. Plus DKR robin was better anyway

Why, I'd say it's the least divise high-grossing film trilogy of all time.

I believe in Zack! Man of Steel was for me everything that I've always wanted to see in a Superman movie!

I just hope to see Ben Affleck's best work as an actor... Because I am so worried to see him as Batman...

This is a very easy issue to comment on.
DC Universe under the supervision of Team Nolan, is the best thing that's happened to cinema since its inception.

To be honest I liked the Avengers, but the more I see it, the less I like it.

Nolan's films will be there for future generations to enjoy, because each movie is constructed meticulously, characters have heft and believability.

There is a reason Warner Bros. want him at the helm of all the superhero movies.

It took a team of heroes and massive build up to get a billion at the box office.

Nolan did it with Dark Knight, Rises and Inception all by his lonesome.

The Man of Steel which he produced and wrote made 600+ million.

I think this speaks for itself.

I'll say one last thing, Ben Affleck and Henry Cavil will be amazing under Snyder and Nolan.

Hell, anyone under Nolan would be great.

Tell you what, lets wait until Interstellar to see if Nolan's magic is gone.
