Nerdluster Writes: Now You See Me has recently been billed as a magical movie experience with which to kick off the summer season but what I sat through last week was a seemingly repurposed and reworked story that played tricks on both the actors and the audience. Despite director Louis Leterrier's more mature leanings with past films such as Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk and The Transporter series it seems Now You See Me was originally billed as a children's movie but was later updated to appeal to a completely different demographic. Repurposing a film is fine, but when it's done with a heavy hand and leaves a noticeable taint on the dialogue it can literally drag a story to its grave.
