Geek Binge: Today is Labor Day which, in Hollywood talk at least, marks the final day of the Summer Movie Season. For those who don’t really keep track, the Summer Movie Season works as such; the season opens with a big film the first week of May, continues on through June, gets HUGE in July, and starts to peter off in August. And then, once the last weekend of August is over, the Summer Movie Season is done. And the industry moves into the Fall. So I thought for the first iteration of The Weekly Rhetoric, we would dive into Summer 2012 in movies: the successes, failures, and everything in between. And then I noticed something interesting about this Summer of film: it freaking sucked. (Culture)
