im so confused senator kelly died in the first film due to a mutation failure but in the description its a failure of the x-men to prevent the assination of senator kelly

we know the wolverine and the first 2 or trilogy is involved with days of future past but what exactly change in the timeline in order to change again to just killing the senator?

frelyler4156d ago

Mystique impersonated the Senator at the end of the first film, although I thought she lost her powers in the horrifically terrible x-men 3. Also the senator liquefied and we never get an answer as to whether he actually died or not, plus this is only a rumor so far. It'll be interesting to see, but I'm pretty sure they can make it work logically with what they have.

true, its possible he somehow able to reform and take the cure but that wouldnt make sense given theres less hate for mutants in the world by the end of the third film unless all that can backfire for some reason

i think the "present" will be the First Class timeline, and the "future" will be the trilogy timeline.

it could be a complex thing like someone jumping back in time to the 60's and dose something to alter the future, it's kind of like the Star Trek movie, and a mix of Days of Future Past and Age of Apocalypse.

first class is set in a different dimension/timeline then the first x-men trilogy

TheDailySuperHero4157d ago

I think we are looking at an alternate future timeline that has the Senator still alive and behind the creation of the Sentinels.

as long as sentinels will be showcased i think the movie will be great.
