'Sherlock' Season 3 Might Not Air Until 2014

EW Inside TV:
Expecting the return of Sherlock next summer?

Try late 2013. Perhaps even 2014, depending where you live.

Start of production on the third cycle of the fan-adored detective drama has been moved from January to March. The seasons on this and shows like Luther sure are far apart.

Agree. Very sad to see the long wait to see how they resolve the ending of Season 2.

Please don't be true, I really want to find out how he survived. That said I'd rather they make a really great season than rush it and make it flawed.

Oh man, horrible news.

Cumberbatch is in The Hobbit as two characters (well a voice and a character) and in Star Trek 2. He's gonna be busy for a while.

By far my favourite show on TV.

That's horrible news. I love this show. Cumberbatch is brilliant in the role. I really can't wait to see more and it would be horrible having to wait until 2014 for another season.

i'd hardly call Freeman a breakout star, the Hobbit may be his biggest role so far but he's not exactly unknown to cinema audiences.

anyway, i've still yet to see the second series.
the first was brilliant, just a shame it was so short.
