From Deadline:
20th Century Fox has come up with a short list to replace Rupert Wyatt as the director of Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. I’m hearing that Cloverfield’s Matt Reeves is atop the list, along with The Disappearance Of Alice Creed helmer J Blakeson, 28 Weeks Later helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, Take Shelter and Mud director Jeff Nichols, Pacific Rim helmer Guillermo del Toro, The Impossible helmer Juan Antonio Bayona and Looper helmer Rian Johnson (Johnson’s reps deny he is in the hunt).
When a messiah is needed, does it matter how a planet gets one? That's what we'll discuss in our Dune Part Two Review!
On the big screen, numerous Dark Knights flaunted their abs and flexed their muscles for the audience; however, Christian Bale's Batman physique remains the greatest.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the latest of the rebooted Planet of the Apes series and is a solid movie despite not being on par with the previous movies.
This list could be a whole lot worse. Much better names on there than I was expecting. I still am sad about Wyatt leaving, but this is a promising list of directors.
It's not a bad list, but it's not the greatest either.
Matt Reeve's would be an interesting choice. I could see him doing it, plus he just backed off of another project so he'd have the time now.
The director of cloverfield is a great choice to helm the next apes sequel. i know the film will be branded with high expectations but i think that director can deliver.
