Even by the standards of the second most successful franchise in cinema history, "Skyfall" is doing extraordinarily well. The 23rd James Bond film, which has picked up some of the best reviews in the history of the franchise, has topped off an amazing couple of weeks at the box office with a $90 million opening weekend in the U.S., bringing it to over $500 million worldwide in only 17 days. By next weekend, it will easily have overtaken "Casino Royale" to be the franchise's top worldwide grosser, and could be on course to be the first billion-dollar Bond.
So it's not entirely surprising that Sony and MGM aren't keen to repeat the four-year gap that preceded "Skyfall," already hiring that film's co-writer John Logan to pen both Bond 24 and 25. What isn't so clear is whether director Sam Mendes will be joining him.

"The stunts and special effects are very well done and this makes the action sequences some of the best you may see at the cinema this year. The story helps to expand the lore of the Mad Max universe and you'll learn a lot about how the Wasteland function. Overall it's a very interesting film and I'm happy to recommend this as something to see at the cinema this weekend." - Bryan (Resident Entertainment)
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga brings all the noise and heavy-metal action, but it also delivers an epic story about human resilience.
It's always impossible to predict where anyone will be when the movie gets put together but it would be great if the same people that worked on Skyfall would do the next one. Sam Mendez did an awesome job directing and all the special effects and CGI and all that was involved was great. I'm looking for an even better Bond next time.
Amazing that this movie almost never happened.
