'Two and a Half Men' Production Proceeds After Costar's Diatribe

LA Times:
Production is proceeding as usual on CBS' "Two and a Half Men" following the criticsm of costar Angus T. Jones and his YouTube post labeling the comedy as "filth."

A spokesman for CBS said the show was on schedule as usual, noting that Jones' character, Jake Harper, is not in every episode this season. Harper at the end of last season joined the Army.

The 19-year-old actor, in a testimonial posted Monday by the Forerunner Christian Church, told viewers not to watch the show, adding that he does not want to be on it. "Please stop watching it; stop filling your head with filth," he said. "Please. People say it's just entertainment.... Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you'll have a decision to make when it comes to television and especially with what you watch."

Didn't see this coming....I guess he's close to seeing his last paycheck.

I just want to say that he isn't only talking about Two and a Half Men, he is talking about television all together. Hudson really got into his head. Its a persons decision whether or not they want to watch these shows or not. This Christopher guy corrupted Angus's mind.

They should have just stopped the show once Charlie left, its really gone down hill since.

well he is right, besides news channels television is just filth.

I disagree. News is starting to look like a joke too. I see more bullsh** on celebs than any REAL news going around our community. It's a waste of time.

The media in general is a waste of space and time and likes to think it's being informative, or maybe it would like US to think they are.

I've stopped listening, reading news. It's all agenda driven or celebrity bullcrap. We're in a world where what a female celeb is wearing is more important than starving children.

Says a lot that I am working for one of the biggest news corporations in the world as well.

the little turd is full of crap he's found religion and is complainign about having to work on a show that pays him an excess of 300 thousand dollars an episode and why wont he just quit the show if he feels that strongly?

SnakeCQC4166d ago

he already retracted the bs he said

This is probably why I don't watch much TV. It's ALL going downhill and getting too stupid for me to like. Some of the things he says I can clearly see. I don't agree with bashing on people that have helped you become somebody, but he later apologizes.

News, regular TV, and "reality" tv its all so poorly written and poorly done, it makes me wonder how some people can stand to watch it? Then I see how they talk and figure it out.

This is why when a show like The Walking Dead comes along, it gets mind blowing ratings because suddenly everyone remembers they have a TV. The TV networks are just as bad as Hollywood, constantly blaming something else (in this case internet) for low ratings.....no, its because YOUR PRODUCT SUCKS!

Watch "TruTV" for a day and look at some of the shows they try to pass off as realistic....and people fall for it!!! HOW!

Dio10804167d ago

COPS and JAIL are the best shows on TrueTV LOL. I can watch COPS for hours....

Soldierone4167d ago

JAIL is on Spike, its the only reason I ever turn that channel on lol

However other shows are so blatantly fake, yet people believe its real (Looking at you repo shows). I mean if the "produced by WWE" logo at the end credits wasn't a big enough sign.....what is?
