Just 8? Please.
Of course! However, he didn't really convey the Quidditch rules very well. A friend who had never read the books was confused and said, "Why didn't they all just go after the Snitch?"
I had to tell him that in the books the game is explained better.
They were good, but Prisoner of Azkaban is still my favorite.
Ah yes, white people in Africa 3,300 years ago. Brilliant!
" Numerous stars have flirted with that role, including Javier Bardem and Russell Crowe."
Russell Crowe? As who? The Man in Black? Eddie?
He can't be Roland. No way, no how. He just isn't Roland.
Roland is a Hugh Jackman or Christian Bale not Russell Crowe.
I'd rather a TV series that takes at least 2 seasons per book.
Do you realize you are quoting a wikipedia article with no citation for the Boondock Saints claim?
Boondock Saints 2 had limited release. The original was shown in theaters across the nation. The claim that it was "only 5" has no evidence.
Further, though it may not have been shown at corporate movie houses, it did play at many indie houses throughout the states.
Excuse me, but this is the internet. Knee jerk reactions and a rush to judgment is what is done here.
No one has time for your patience and thoughtful reflection.

Voting WC down, AGain...
Would have been if I didn't use deslidify.
No one believes these. Do you have any evidence at all. Any that people believe any of this in the first place.
It is like you just made it all up in order to refute it.
Straw man.
My tops are Goodfellas, the Town, and the Departed.
"Dr Ray Stantz: Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dickless here.
Walter Peck: They caused an explosion!
Mayor: Is this true?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yes it's true.
[pause]
Dr. Peter Venkman: This man has no dick.
Walter Peck: Jeez!
[Charges at Venkman]
Mayor: Break it up! Hey, break this up! Break it up!
Walter Peck: All right, all right, all right!
Dr. Peter Venkman: Wel...
But they include Lucy. Lucy? She uses 100% of her brain like the rest of us, whoooopideee dooo!
Apparently (I haven't seen it) she starts the movie at like 10% brain function, which is severely, severely handicapped...as in, on life support.
Then, apparently something is done (like along the lines of Flowers for Algernon(the movie Charly)) and she regains some skill but then gets super powers? Not sure how, kind of weird as there is no explanation ot...
Teen Titans Go!
I actually don't like the Shining. The book is amazing, as is the sequel, Doctor Sleep, but the movie with Nicholson is terrible. Granted, I read the novel first and Kubrick's idea of leaving "The Shining" out of the movie really ruins a great story.
Instead, we end up with a movie version of Hotel California by the Eagles. Maybe that is what the movie should have been called.
Speculation:
We see the drama unfold as one of the characters (a minor one) who bites it at the end of the episode.
"What remains frankly stunning is that the 1982 original managed to secure a PG rating in the States, after Spielberg leaned on the MPAA."
Is there proof of Spielberg doing such a thing? I only found one source: an IMDB claim that isn't cited. The reality of the day is that many, many films were PG because it meant Parental Guidance. Those films would garner an R rating today.
The following films were PG: Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones: Raider...
No kidding. These days it seems as if something that gets high ratings should be avoided. But if these self proclaimed "critics" lambaste something, then you know it must be good.
Oh yea,
And Mila. Yum.
In Ireland, one asks for a "pint," as in "I'll have a pint." There need be no other words spoken except, "thank you." So point number 1 is wrong.
Point 2: Red Solo Cups. And they aren't tiny.
Forget it. This should be entitled, 6 Things wow247 gets hilariously wrong about Beer in Movies.
