I like Wahlberg and 90's were not so nice to certain films with story and what not. They were just getting started with new visuals and what not. Now that they learned I think this film could be even better.
Its a bit soon to be remaking it yes, but it was going to happen sooner or later and Im glad its this crew doing it.
I think his role in Max Payne proves that he can portray this character correctly. He did things right and this is his style. That and comedy, he was friggin amazing in The Other Guys. He is a talented actor so if he is onboard this film ill be sure to check it out!
While it isn't the best Pixar movie, its still a great film. I just don't understand why this one got so much more respect and fans than other films? I am still waiting for a Monsters Inc 2.
Personally his films are ok, but they are not out of this world and he shouldn't be calling himself king of the industry. He just knows how to throw alot of money at a popular genre to make it look pretty. Avatar was nothing original, in fact Disney was already there and done with that story years ago.
3D is just another push, it won't be around forever. I don't think 3D is here yet, and it won't be here until we no longer need to wear glasses to see the ef...
I think this franchise is interesting, not because the films are good, but because of how the studio goes about marketing it and making it a Halloween special.
You have special night screenings, so you can only watch the film at 12 midnight, things like that are cool. Personally I think the first one could of been better, its alot of talking and stupid things happening, that I hope they improved on in the second. If its a prequal all that hope goes down the drain.
To be honest I always saw these films as like a knock off of Mission Impossible, not really more to it than that. I enjoyed them none the less, but they could be better to say the least. I think a new character and new cast is something the franchise really needed. While it seems like a mistake now, and I know alot of people wont give it a chance anymore, it may come out to be something good.
You have to remember the movie isn't about the actor, its about the character...
They want that same look because its going to be related to the film. Its not Jason Bourne anymore, its a new story for a new character, but its still going to have the connections to the old character.
Its just like Metal Gear following a differnt Snake or Raiden. Its a new story, but the same universe. Happens alot with franchise films. Granted I dont agree with this move, but it could still work.
I guess its purely because I'm not really a Downey fan anymore, but I didn't like this film. I mean its Sherlock Holmes and there is so much you can do with it, yet they took the basics and put it in a film. Like it still had that feel, but not really.
There are many movies like this where people are searching for clues etc...that I think were done better. More exciting, overall better story etc...I like Sherlock Holmes but this one was a let down for me. Too Holly...
Gotta love Netflix. They are updated it even better now with later movies. They get removed in like a month or something, but at least you get a chance to watch them now. I think the new push by updated PS3 and Wii, along with new systems for the service is making it overall better.
I actually really enjoyed that movie. It also generated a pretty awesome game too. I think it was the one where you could choose to be a knight or a dragon.
I sure as hell hope they didn't make this a giant political debate again. Im so tired of comic book films going in that direction, then throwing in a bunch of action near the end to make people happy. Its cheesy, boring, and not creative.
If its two countries going at it, then by all means lets have us a war. Leave the politics to another movie that I don't wanna see.
From what im reading by Knoxville etc....its going to be marketed at Jackass 3.5. A Jackass 4 isn't even in the books just yet. In-fact along with the new footage, knoxville is hinting he is pretty much done with the stuff. Said he hurt himself really bad filming 3 and now its starting to take a toll on him etc...He never actually said anything in regards to that, but if we do see a Jackass 4 feel lucky and treat it as its the last film in the franchise. I don't see it going much furt...
It was in-between a 3D push. They always either do 3D or do something else to help push sales for a given amount of time. So it wasn't in a long while that this has happened.
I remember there were things like coupons to food places the character ate at, the scratch and sniff things, one had dolls or toys or something, the pokemon thing and there were a few others like a trading card or something etc...
I'm sure it will start happening again after...
At the same time thats also why I think the sci-fi film genre has dipped and isn't respected anymore. They don't really create specific stars for this genre, thus it feels a little off and not working properly.

James Franco is good in some roles, but he isn't a strong actor in other roles. For example, Pineapple Express...Perfect! Spiderman, not so much. You can still catch his in experience and theater like movements in alot of his later films, especially the Spiderman ones. I like him and can't wait to see him improve, but a movie like this is a huge jump that im not sure he can make yet.

Like I said, should of let it be and live as one of the greatest comedy movies ever made. Yet they want to destroy that and now we will no long appreciate the film. This just further proves it.
The was nothing to work with in the first on to lead to a second one. He got married, the other two were already married, and the third one doesn't have enough of a vibrant character to carry an entire movie.
Basically, from what Knoxville said, it will just be like Jackass 2.5. Somewhat of a behind the scenes things, with the extra footage thrown in to keep your interest. Not too excited, but the crew at least makes these films interesting.
I miss when tickets would come with goodies too. Remember the whole Pokemon thing?

The things that bug me are like major story aspects he threw in. Like personally any film that revolves around politics is boring to me. Its an easy way out to make an easy story. Not only did he bring in politics, but he made up the politics which to a certain extent is fine, but he went way beyond that. Like he is trying to push Civil War (comics) into a film universe that isn't even there yet.
That and having Iron Man stuck up and "famous" is stupid to me....
I think Pixar is either running out of ideas, or decided they want to milk their cash cows before moving on. It was like two years ago that Pixar said they don't like doing sequals, they rather do original ideas. All of a sudden all their titles are getting sequals.
Am I mad? No not at all, but I love Pixar because they make new and unique films, not the same thing over and over. The next one on the list is probably Finding Nemo. I doubt Monsters Inc will even be looke...
